I make complicated software feel considered.

I've spent nine years designing the unglamorous, load-bearing kind of software: investment apps, health and safety platforms, compliance tools, jobs boards, video infrastructure. Products people open every morning because their work depends on it. I like making that kind of software feel considered, from the first research call to the last handoff comment.

Right now I'm designing SportsEngine's Motion, a registration and scheduling platform whose core dates back to 2007, where most of the work is archaeology before it is design. Before that, ecoPortal in New Zealand; a year in-house at Heartburst in Melbourne, where three sites I designed won at the 2024 Melbourne Design Awards, with gold for Orygen IPS, which I also built; and Sardius Media in the US.

I've worked remotely since 2017, and with international teams since 2021. The timezone does half the job: Paraguay keeps New York's hours. The other half is habit: writing things down, prototyping early, handing off cleanly. Regulated environments, structured design systems, and Scrum rituals hold no fear for me.

I'm also a partner at 55.design, a product studio in Asunción focused on fintech and banking, where I designed nearly all of Familiar Casa de Bolsa's new investment app, digital onboarding included. I also write about design careers, process, and tools on Primer Pixel, a blog for designers starting or growing their careers in Latin America.
